IMOVAX POLIO

A polio vaccine intended for use as a primary dose in infants, children, and adults. The vaccine is administered in the upper arm.

Vaccination Schedule

The vaccine is administered in childhood according to the manufacturer's possible recommendations and in adulthood as a first vaccination with two doses.

Vaccination is carried out after 10 years.

When is it necessary to postpone vaccination?

You must not be acutely ill at the time of vaccination; on the day of vaccination, physical exertion, visits to saunas or tanning beds, and excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages are not recommended. There must be an interval of at least 2 weeks between your previous and next vaccinations. You must not take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.

Most commonly reported side effects

Pain at the injection site, mild fever, headaches, muscle and joint pain, digestive problems, weakness.

Pregnancy, Breastfeeding

Giving the vaccine to pregnant women is a matter of weighing the potential risks. Breastfeeding can be vaccinated.
