Trumenba

The Trumenba vaccine is intended for the vaccination of children aged 10 and older, adolescents, and adults against invasive meningococcal disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B. The vaccine is administered into the upper arm.

Vaccination Schedule

The vaccine is administered in two doses at the following intervals: the first dose is given on the selected date, and the second dose is given 6 months later.

A booster dose has not been recommended.

When is it necessary to postpone vaccination?

You must not be acutely ill at the time of vaccination; on the day of vaccination, strenuous physical activity, visits to saunas or tanning beds, and excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages are not recommended. There must be an interval of at least 2 weeks between this vaccination and the previous or next one. You must not take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.

Most Commonly Reported Side Effects

Pain at the injection site, mild fever, headaches, muscle and joint pain, digestive problems, weakness.

Pregnancy, Breastfeeding

Vaccination is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
