Engerix - B peadr.
The vaccine Engerix B-10 is intended in the Czech Republic only for compulsory vaccination of children against hepatitis B. The vaccine is injected into the upper arm.
Vaccination Schedule
The vaccine is administered in three doses in a schedule: the first dose is administered on the selected day, the second dose in 1 month and the third dose in 5 months.
A booster shot has not been scheduled.
When is it necessary to postpone vaccination?
You must not be acutely ill at the time of vaccination; on the day of vaccination, physical exertion, visits to saunas or tanning beds, and excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages are not recommended. There must be an interval of at least 2 weeks between your previous and next vaccinations. You must not take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.
Most commonly reported side effects
Pain at the injection site, mild fever, headaches, muscle and joint pain, digestive problems, weakness.
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding
For precautionary reasons, it is not recommended to administer the vaccine to pregnant women except in cases of high risk of infection. The vaccine may be given to breastfeeding women if there is an increased risk of infection.
