Encepur for children
Vaccine against tick-borne encephalitis designed for children aged 1 – 11 years. The vaccine is applied to the upper part of an arm.
It is vaccinated by three doses in the following time terms: the first dose is applied on the selected day, the second dose is applied in 1 up to 3 months and the third dose is applied 9 up to 12 months after the second dose.
The first re-vaccination is performed 3 years after administration of the third dose. The next re-vaccination is performed after 5 years.
There exists even an accelerated vaccination scheme, when the vaccination is performed as follows: the first dose on the selected day, the second dose in 7 days and the third dose is applied 21 days after the first dose.
The first booster is applied in 12 up to 18 months after the third dose. The next re-vaccination is performed after 5 years.
When it is necessary to postpone the vaccination?
You mustn´t suffer from any acute disease at the time of vaccination. On the day of application it is recommended to avoid any strains, sauna or excessive alcohol drinking. At least 2 weeks must have elapsed from / to the next vaccination. You mustn´t take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.
Most frequently reported undesirable effects
Soreness, redness, swelling in the point of vaccination, sub-febrils, headache and aches of muscles, fits of perspiration, cold fever.
