MENQUADFI A, C, Y, W-135

A conjugate vaccine against meningococcal infections of groups ACWY, intended to protect children 12 months of age and older, adolescents, and adults. The vaccine protects against invasive meningococcal disease, which can progress very rapidly and lead to meningitis or sepsis. The vaccine is administered into the upper arm.

Vaccination Schedule

For individuals 12 months of age and older, a single dose of the vaccine is administered.
A booster dose is recommended every 7 years, particularly for individuals at long-term increased risk of infection or when traveling to areas with a higher incidence of meningococcal disease.

When is it necessary to postpone vaccination?

It is best to postpone vaccination in the event of an acute febrile illness.

Most commonly reported side effects

Pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site; fatigue; headaches; muscle and joint pain; elevated temperature; or a brief fever.

Pregnancy, Breastfeeding

The vaccine can be administered during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
