APEXXNAR

Active immunization to prevent invasive disease and pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae in individuals 18 years of age and older. Serotypes: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 8, 9V, 10A, 11A, 12F, 14, 15B, 18C, 19A, 19F, 22F, 23F, 33F, 10A, 11A, 12F, 14, 15B, 18C, 19A, 19F, 22F, 23F, 33F.

One dose (0.5 ml) of Apexxnar should be administered intramuscularly, preferably into the deltoid muscle.

Vaccination Schedule

The vaccine is administered in one dose on the selected day.

The vaccine can be used for primary vaccination for those not yet vaccinated.

No vaccination has been prescribed.

When is it necessary to postpone vaccination?

You must not be acutely ill at the time of vaccination; on the day of vaccination, physical exertion, visits to saunas or tanning beds, and excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages are not recommended. There must be an interval of at least 2 weeks between your previous and next vaccinations. You must not take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.

Most commonly reported side effects

Pain at the injection site, mild fever, headaches, muscle and joint pain, digestive problems, weakness.

Pregnancy, Breastfeeding

Giving the vaccine to pregnant and breastfeeding women is a discretion based on the risks of infection.
