Vaccine against pneumococcus infections (lungs inflammation) designed for persons above 2 years of age and mainly above 65 years of age. The vaccine is applied to the upper part of an arm.

Vaccination by 1 dose on the selected day.

Re-vaccination is always performed after 3 up to 5 years.

When it is necessary to postpone the vaccination?

You mustn´t suffer from any acute disease at the time of vaccination. On the day of application it is recommended to avoid any strains, sauna or excessive alcohol drinking. At least 2 weeks must have elapsed from / to the next vaccination. You mustn´t take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.

Most frequently reported undesirable effects

Soreness, redness, swelling in the point of vaccination, fever, headaches, body weakness, fatigue.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding

Vaccination is not recommended in the course of the first three months of pregnancy. If it is necessary to vaccinate, vaccination can be considered in the course of last three months of pregnancy only. Breastfeeding does not exclude the possibility of vaccination.
