Vaccine against meningococcal infections of the groups A, C, W135, Y designed for teenagers and children from the age of 1 year. The vaccine is applied to the upper part of an arm.

Vaccination scheme

The vaccination is performed by one dose on the selected day.

The vaccine can be used for primary vaccination for still non-vaccinated or as a booster for persons who have already been vaccinated against meningococcal meningitis in the past.

When it is necessary to postpone the vaccination?

You mustn´t suffer from any acute disease at the time of vaccination. On the day of application it is recommended to avoid any strains, sauna or excessive alcohol drinking. To avoid significant physical exercises for the period of at least 2 consequent days. At least 2 weeks must have elapsed from / to the next vaccination. You mustn´t take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.

Most frequently reported undesirable effects

Headache, qualm, rash (eruption), Soreness, redness, itching and induration in the point of vaccination, feelings of unrest, sub-febrile, cold fever.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding

Pregnancy should not prevent vaccination in case of a clearly defined risk of infection. Vaccination while breastfeeding is possible.
