Tick-borne encephalitis vaccine for children from 1 year to 11 years of age. The vaccine is injected into the upper arm.

Vaccination scheme

The vaccine is administered in three doses at the following intervals: the first dose is administered on the selected date, the second dose is administered 1 to 3 months later and the third dose is administered 9 to 12 months after the second dose.

The first re-vaccination is done 3 years after the third dose. The next vaccination is carried out after 5 years.

There is also an accelerated vaccination schedule, where the vaccines are administered at intervals: the first dose on the selected date, the second dose 7 days later and the third dose 21 days after the first dose.

The first booster dose is applied 12 to 18 months after the third dose. The next vaccination is given after 5 years.

When is it necessary to postpone vaccination?

You must not be acutely ill at the time of vaccination, physical exertion, visiting the sauna, solarium, or large consumption of alcoholic beverages is not recommended on the day of application. The interval between the previous and next vaccination must be at least 2 weeks. You must not take antibiotics at the time of vaccination.

Most commonly reported side effects

Soreness, redness, swelling at the injection site, increased temperature, headache and muscle pain, sweating, chills.
